Artist Spotlight: Michael Seiler
Michael Seiler - (Big Mike) Is an overly seasoned fashion creative currently living and working out of Downtown Los Angeles. Over the past ten years he has created many of the trends that have swept through fashion industry, and made several idiots / assholes into millionaires. If you wear clothes, chances are you own something Michael has designed. In the late 90’s he curated the influential Onetime Gallery, which laid the groundwork for the Downtown LA Arts Revival. His shows, which were as much a “happening” as a gallery exhibition, focused on then, lesser known artists which included the likes of Shepherd Fairey, and Alyasha Owerka Moore. He has contributed to a couple magazines, been in a couple group shows, had a couple interviews, been in a couple books, been in a couple magazines, sold work to a couple collectors, had a couple fashion shows, lost a couple bucks, made a couple bucks, met a couple amazing people and generally lived pretty well. Today Michael juggles several high profile clients as the president of the LA based RAINMAKER GROUP design consultancy. He is also the driving force behind the brands THE MOMENT, MMT, and PELOTON. He would rather be golfing…more to come.
